Pre vs. Probiotics

Prebiotics

Non-digestible components, typically types of dietary fiber, that act as "food" for the beneficial bacteria (including probiotics) already in your gut. They help these good bacteria grow and thrive.

Probiotics

Live microorganisms (beneficial bacteria and yeasts) that, when consumed, add to the good bacteria already present in your gut. Think of them as "good" bacteria that you introduce to your system.
